FEMMES+ est une soirée dédiée aux femmes/personnes trans et au VIH.

Une projection de courts-métrages sera suivi d'une présentation par l'artiste invitée Jessica Whitbread (Toronto). Whitbread discutera de la récente campagne de prévention d'AIDS ACTION NOW et de son affiche FUCK POSITIVE WOMEN, créée en collaboration avec l'artiste torontoise Allyson Mitchell.

Pour clore la soirée, Whitbread invitera les participant.e.s à un de ses célèbre "Tea Parties". Un thé et des patisseries seront servis et c'est dans cette ambiance que se déroulera une conversation franche et critique sur la sexualité, le corps et les droits des femmes et des personnes trans. Nous vous invitons à vous habiller pour l'occasion, à amener votre tasse de thé et à participer à la conversation.

Veuillez noter que le Sissy Space X est un espace accessible, mais non adapté, aux personnes en fauteuil roulant.

WOMEN+ is an evening dedicated to women\trans folks of all genders and HIV.

A screening of short films will be followed by a presentation by special guest Jessica Whitbread (Toronto). Whitbread will be speaking about the recent AIDS ACTION NOW poster campaign, focusing on her poster work FUCK POSITIVE WOMEN, made collaboratively with Toronto artist Allyson Mitchell.

To top off the evening, Whitbread will host one of her fabulous Tea Parties, which the artist describes as 'pretty, dainty, lovely and fuckable. Vintage linens, fine china and baked goods will set the ambiance to make for an evening of candid and critical conversation about positive women and trans rights regarding their bodies and sexuality. We encourage you to wear your best, bring a teacup, perhaps some baked goods and eavesdrop to what this bunch of hens are talking about. I'll give you a hint - its about HIV and fucking...shhhhhhhh'

Sissy Space X is wheelchair accessible space; however, the bathrooms are not adapted.

VIHsion invite les réalisatrices/ réalisateurs de films et vidéos à soumettre leurs courts-métrages portant sur les femmes/trans et le VIH pour un évènement dans le cadre de la Radical Queer Semaine à Montréal.

Les femmes font partie de l'histoire du sida depuis le début: elles représentent un peu plus de la moitié des cas dans le monde et 27% des nouveaux cas au Québec. Cet évènement cherche à reconnaître cette réalité.

Callout for Film and Video!

VIHsion invites film and video makers to submit short works on the subject of women/trans folks of all genders and HIV for a screening event at this year's Radical Queer Semaine in Montréal.

Women have been a part of the history of AIDS since it began, representing just over half of the world's cases of HIV and 27% of new cases in the province of Quebec. This event aims to pay mind to this reality.

Send your submissions on DVD no later than February 15th to
